About The Position

IEX is looking for a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure to design, build, and operate our internal infrastructure platforms, including Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, storage, virtualization, and Linux systems. This role owns projects end to end and plays a key part in ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and aligned with our engineering needs. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment but is equally comfortable working independently. You enjoy solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and building tooling that makes engineering teams more productive. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building infrastructure in Azure using Terraform
  • Solid Linux fundamentals and experience with shell scripting
  • Programming fundamentals in Python, Go, or Rust
  • Kubernetes experience (both managed and on-prem preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD and SDLC practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, Graylog, or Nagios
  • Exposure to infrastructure lifecycle management and operational tooling

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure using Terraform
  • Design and support OS deployment infrastructure for both bare metal and containerized environments
  • Contribute to Kubernetes efforts, including supporting a new distributed computing POC and guiding the team on best practices
  • Improve and maintain configuration management and infrastructure tooling
  • Develop monitoring, observability, and reporting systems (Prometheus, Victor Metrics, ELK, etc.)
  • Create clear, reproducible documentation for infrastructure and operational processes
  • Support administration of user accounts, entitlements, and platform-level tooling
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable
