About The Position

Conduct cyber vulnerability assessments on airborne platforms, embedded systems, and mission-critical subsystems. Develop test plans, threat models, and evaluation criteria based on system architecture and mission context. Execute penetration testing, red team assessments, and software/hardware exploit techniques in lab and field environments. Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, test leads, and system engineers to define test objectives and interpret results. Document findings, mitigation recommendations, and support risk management decision processes. Interface with program stakeholders during test events, briefings, and engineering working groups. Ensure all testing activities align with DoD cybersecurity guidance and authorization frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity testing or cyber vulnerability assessment roles.
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements (e.g., RMF, DoDI 8510.01, CNSSI 1253).
  • Experience with penetration testing tools and techniques (e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus).
  • Familiarity with avionics, mission systems, or platform-level architecture.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
  • Experience working with AFLCMC, OTAs, or weapon system PMOs.
  • Experience conducting test events in laboratory, SIL, or platform-level environments.
