About The Position

The purpose of this position is to mount printing plates on cylinders / sleeves following customer specifications and company procedure in an accurate fashion so that press operators can achieve desired print registration and impression with ease and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Translate written and computer generated layout specifications into the requirements for mounting plates.
Set up job using plate mounter.
Prepare plates to be mounted. (Clean and or minor repair.)
Apply plates using correct mounting tape.

Requirements

• Ability to perform with meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be able to read tape measure
• Can work with very small tolerances. (In the thousandths of an inch range.)
• Must have good math skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be a high school graduate.
• Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to give attention to detail and follow-up in all areas.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in flexographic printing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Planning- Coordinate with shift supervisor to plan mounting order.
• Documentation- Complete required forms and obtain required signatures.
• QC- With the help of shift supervisor, make sure job is mounted correctly. ( Job Check-off )
