About The Position

The Plastics Sales Representative markets and works to implement strategic sales plans for Vandor Plastics and Reel Options products and services to prospective Customers. The Plastics Sales Representative will adhere to excellent service standards to maintain the highest customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Represents Vandor’s products and services with a comprehensive understanding of how products are used and providing solutions to Customers. · Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies. · Routinely does market research, cold call contacting of prospective Customers. · Manages and develops relationships with new and existing Customers. · Facilitates new Customer onboarding by preparing, and sending correspondence and marketing materials, assisting with development of marketing materials, forecasts, and ensuring customer needs are fulfilled on a daily and weekly basis. · Assists with development of sales forecast and equipment needs. · Meets with key Customers to maintain relationships and assist with negotiation of agreements or deals. · Assists with collection of market data to work closely with Research and Development team to determine market potential of new product ideas and testing of new products prior to sale. · Initiates regular Customer visits both inside and outside of the plant. · Accurately collects and records customer data into CRM. · Collaborates with the Customer Service Representatives on the delivery of samples to Customers. · Attends industry related trade shows and events as needed. · Exhibits regular and predictable attendance. · Maintains clean and orderly work area. · Assures safe practices are implemented and followed. · Adheres to Vandor’s values, principles, and policies as published in the Vandor Team Member Handbook. · Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. PM21

Requirements

  • Mathematical Skills - above average mathematical skills are needed.
  • A high school diploma/GED with additional relevant formal education or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend and twist for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Demonstrates ability to travel for sales calls, conventions and Customer support as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal education or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, management, or business is preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.
