Manufacturing:
Supporting online troubleshooting of injection molding and plastics welding equipment
Installation of new tooling including designing and building end of arm tooling, mold installation, process maturation and robot programming
Supporting design modification and implementation of the production line
Interacting with suppliers and contractors with the support of a mentor
Purchasing:
Calculating part and tooling costs for injection molded automotive parts
Participating in cost-reduction projects related to the introduction of new vehicles
Developing ideas that lead to tangible cost savings by collaborating with part designers and part and tooling suppliers
Completing your assigned special research project related to a subject selected by you and your assigned Honda mentor

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• General Engineering Coursework
• Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
• Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
• Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Plastics Engineering, Plastics Engineering Technology, or related
• Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day
• Public transportation and ride share services are limited in some of our locations. Co-ops are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from work each day, and must have a reliable plan for transportation in order to be eligible for a position. Regular in-person attendance is required, and transportation issues will not be excused.

Responsibilities
