More about the Plastics Engineering Co-op/ Intern at Honda The below descriptions reflect potential environments and duties within our various Plastics Engineering Co-op/ Intern positions that we offer. Work environments and projects may include but are not limited to Manufacturing: Supporting online troubleshooting of injection molding and plastics welding equipment Installation of new tooling including designing and building end of arm tooling, mold installation, process maturation and robot programming Supporting design modification and implementation of the production line Interacting with suppliers and contractors with the support of a mentor Purchasing: Calculating part and tooling costs for injection molded automotive parts Participating in cost-reduction projects related to the introduction of new vehicles Developing ideas that lead to tangible cost savings by collaborating with part designers and part and tooling suppliers Completing your assigned special research project related to a subject selected by you and your assigned Honda mentor
