Gerber Collision offers the most advanced 8-week PAID training program backed by I-CAR accredited courses. For approved applicants, Gerber will invest in your training to learn entry-level auto skills such as plastic repairs, repair planning, and removal & installation of parts to fast-track your certification as an entry-level Micro Repair Technician. Based on your progress and performance, after 12 to 24 months as a Micro Tech, you will then have the opportunity to move into Gerber’s industry-leading TDP (Technician Development Program) with paid on-the-job training for another 12 months towards becoming a graduate Auto Body Repair Technician. No experience is required for the entry-level Micro Tech; all training is provided during the certification program, followed by ongoing “on-the-job training and upskill career progression programs.” During the training, you will be able to take part in various trade-based, personal, and basic business development short courses, providing a foundation for further development of your career.
