About The Position

The Plant Systems Analyst exists to provide the first line of support for the Lawrence Production Center (LPC) computer and network equipment. Maintains a working knowledge of PC software and telecommunications equipment. Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Installs PC’s, printers, palm pilots, and diagnoses Server hardware related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

  • You’re at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience troubleshooting software, desktop, and printer related issues.
  • You have the ability to lift 20-50lbs occasionally, with frequent lifting of 10-25lbs
  • Ability to be physically onsite between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line of support and respond to all problems concerning all computer equipment and software. Document specific problems for appropriate follow-up and resolution, resolve all problems with-in the position ability, follow-up to ensure Level II support is executed.
  • Installation of PC software. Has knowledge of all software packages being used in order to quickly resolve user problems.
  • Install new and leased refreshed PC hardware, printers, palm pilots and trouble shoots all Server hardware problems.
  • Has technological knowledge to work on their own, troubleshoot networks procedures, assist in repairs, upgrades, and preliminary diagnostic testing of hardware and software programs.
  • Maintain data files and monitors systems configuration.
  • Perform systems backup and recovery.
  • Maintain working knowledge of telecommunication equipment.
  • Evaluate training needs for users and arranges appropriate training.
