About The Position

In the role of Plant Sanitarian, working in our Shenandoah brewery in Elkton, VA you will lead and implement plant-wide sanitation programs to ensure safe, high-quality products in compliance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and the Molson Coors Quality Management System. You’ll manage all sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, pest control, and Food Defense programs, while providing guidance and training on hygiene, plant security, pasteurization cleaning, chemical use, and draft beer operations. This role also supports hygienic equipment design, approved chemical/FCC suppliers, and collaborates with corporate and other breweries on shared concerns. This position reports to Sr Mgr Quality and Food Safety.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a Science related field and/or 5+ years experience in quality related processes with 3+ years experience in manufacturing or the food and beverage industry
  • HACCP and Pest Control Certificate required
  • Expert knowledge of food safety regulations, including the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act, GMP, and state/local requirements; understanding of EPA and OSHA impact on sanitation.
  • Formal HACCP training and in-depth knowledge of company HACCP programs; strong compliance focus.
  • Advanced expertise in sanitation practices, including cleaners, sanitizers, CIP systems, high-pressure equipment, and brewery microbiology.
  • Working knowledge of pest control for rodents, insects, and birds, plus chemical safety for brewing operations and participation in Chemical Review Board processes.
  • Proven project management skills and proficiency in Process, Packaging Quality, and Facilities areas.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities using advanced tools and methodologies.
