About The Position

COOLER OPERATION GENERAL PURPOSE Perform job duties within the cooler/warehouse environment to provide relief for planned (vacation, breaks) and unexpected absences, to ensure the receiving, storing and distribution of product efficiently and accurately. PLANT OPERATION GENERAL PURPOSE Perform job duties within the manufacturing environment to provide relief for planned (vacation, break) and unexpected absences to ensure the continual production of product.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Production or general work experienced preferred
Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
Able to effectively work in a team environment
Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Must be able to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

Assist in the loading and unloading of trailers
Monitor product, materials, and equipment to ensure items are readily available
Rotate stock according to code dates to ensure first-in, first-out rotation
Complete any task assigned due to vacancy within the department
Record movement of stock in and out of work area
Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
Complete all required documentation and quality checks
Record and document all production runs, downtime, weights, code dates, and label verifications
Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks on equipment in both manual and automated capacities
Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
