About The Position

We are currently in the process of accepting applications for a Plant Protection Officer. As a member of the site Security Team, responsibilities include monitoring employees and contractors entering and exiting the facility, performing security rounds, and the issuing of safe work permits such as Confined Space Entry and Hot Work.  Other responsibilities include responding to hazardous material, fire and medical emergencies, and treatment of minor injuries.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician, preferred. Must obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Team oriented.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer usage skills.

Nice To Haves

• Industrial safety experience or education.
• Firefighter I or II certification.
• Professional Military / Police / Public Safety experience strongly preferred.
• Hazmat technician level certification & SCBA qualification.
• Confined Space Rescue.
