About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to work out of our Granite Quarry in Granite Falls, MN. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining plant processing equipment. The Plant Operator will run and monitor plant operations from a centralized location under the direction of the Plant Manager and Foreman. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program. This is a non-union position. Essential Functions Operates, monitors, and maintains plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards. Daily pre-and post-inspections of the work area. Monitors/maintain load-out area and operates mobile equipment as needed. Assist with maintenance on the plant, including repairs, preventive items. Always ensures a safe work environment for self and others. Assist with training of co-workers as needed. Collaborative with Team members. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • 1 + years of related experience
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and record-keeping.
  • Able to adhere to MSHA & OSHA guidelines and Company Safety rules and regulations.
  • Be willing to take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.
  • Be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Willing to cross-train in different areas of production and general operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical Aptitude (welding, torch, fabrication) is a bonus.
