About The Position

The Plant Operator 1, under direct supervision, is responsible for successfully completing level 1 operator tasks within all production departments (including Blending & Bag, Batch Coating and Screening.)

Requirements

• Forklift Certification (training provided)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to be at work on time and as scheduled.
• Ability and willingness to be trained on additional tasks
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Skid Steer experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of forklifts with up to 2,000-pound loads.
• Load raw materials for various departments
• Unload Dry Bulk trucks and handle paperwork.
• Clean equipment as needed.
• Loading and unloading doyles
• Hand Stack pallets with 50 pound bags when needed.
• Wrap Pallets and apply proper labels.
• Load and package finished goods in various departments
• Enter confined spaces once fully trained on proper process.
• Adhere to all plant safety requirements.
• Perform plant housekeeping duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.
