We are located in the heart of Northwest Indiana in Crown Point. AMG Specialty Hospital - Northwest Indiana seeks a Full-Time Plant Operations Manager. The Plant Operations Manager reports directly to the hospital Chief Executive Officer. The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for supervision of the daily operations of the physical plant and for the decisions made during daily operation. Assigns priorities for the maintenance department work schedules, assigns tasks for the maintenance technicians, and also schedules contractors for required maintenance work performed outside of the maintenance department's normal duties. Schedules preventative maintenance to all equipment within the physical plant location. Provides training to the maintenance department technicians necessary to perform job tasks correctly and safely. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college or trade school preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of loading and unloading.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend call when necessary.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Computer or word-processing skills required.
  • Ability to work with other people in courteous manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for CFC refrigerant handling by the EPA preferred.
  • Additional languages desirable.
