About The Position

Looking to put your short- and long-term strategy, planning, and people leadership skills into action? As the Plant Operations Manager II, you will lead a critical operations team at our Wyoming, Michigan manufacturing site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of the production schedule. This on-site role partners closely with a high-caliber leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and business results. You’ll join a high-performing plant environment where safety, food quality, and associate engagement are top priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Hands-on experience applying lean manufacturing principles
  • Proven ability to manage production performance, budgets, and cost improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing performance data

Responsibilities

  • Culture Ownership – Lead and reinforce a department culture centered on people safety, food safety, quality, accountability, and positive associate relations.
  • Operational Performance – Own daily and long-term production performance, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost, and service expectations.
  • People Development – Coach, develop, and build leadership capability within the operations team through continuous improvement and skill-building practices.
  • Continuous Improvement – Apply lean manufacturing and data-driven problem-solving methods to improve metrics and eliminate losses.
  • Strategic Leadership – Contribute as a plant leadership team member in setting and executing the site’s annual and long-term strategic direction.
