About The Position

This entry-level internship offers hands-on experience supporting our Plant Operations teams within the Natural Gas Gathering and Processing segment. As a Plant Operator Intern, you will assist with the monitoring, operation, and optimization of natural gas processing equipment and systems that are critical to our midstream operations. You’ll gain exposure to daily plant activities including equipment inspections, process adjustments, and safety procedures, while learning how to maintain reliable and efficient operations. This opportunity provides valuable industry experience in a dynamic environment, preparing you for a career in the energy sector. The anticipated dates for this internship are May 19 – Aug 7, 2026 (with flexibility to fit your academic schedule). Anticipated pay for this position is $26.50/hour and includes a $4,500 signing bonus. To be eligible, you must be a current student or graduating the semester immediately before the internship (i.e. April or May 2026 graduate). Job Profile Summary Provide field support to the Operations team as well as other related disciplines. With supportive guidance and mentoring, interns are provided the opportunity to obtain first-hand knowledge and experience. Internships are designed to augment college learning by further educating students in teamwork, problem solving skills, work ethics, adaptability, communication, responsibility, time management, organization, perseverance and motivation as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required and must be at least 18 years old.
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant technical or mechanical program preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Basic understanding of plant operations and maintenance principles is a plus.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to: take initiative, demonstrate a positive attitude with an eagerness to learn, and be adaptable
  • Ability to: apply basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and/or advanced math, algebra, and/or statistical methods
  • Ability to: communicate, exchange written and verbal information and/or instructions
  • Ability to: contribute critical thinking skills, work well in teams, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant technical or mechanical program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about and assist with the daily operation and monitoring of plant equipment and systems.
