Plant Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting Specialist
About The Position
This role is for a Plant Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting Specialist who thrives on diagnosing and preventing mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment. The position involves performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing various production assets like conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems. The specialist will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical failures quickly to minimize downtime, interpreting technical documents, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with production and maintenance teams. This is a direct hire, union position for 2nd or 3rd shift in a stable, established manufacturing facility.
Requirements
- Substantial heavy mechanical experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Hands-on background with industrial production equipment
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
- Self-directed performance on 2nd or 3rd shift
Nice To Haves
- Union manufacturing experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production assets
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose mechanical failures to minimize downtime
- Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality requirements
- Work side-by-side with production and maintenance teammates
