About The Position

As a Mechanic at Bridor, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our production running smoothly. Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical production equipment, ensuring it’s always operating at its best. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality baked goods to customers across the country. Requirements

  • Experience: You’ve worked as a Maintenance Mechanic, ideally in a food processing or bakery manufacturing environment, and are ready to bring your expertise to our team
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You love a challenge and can quickly troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment to ensure maximum uptime
  • Mechanical/Technical Expertise: You have strong mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical aptitude, and can read prints, schematics, and manuals to identify and order parts
  • Team Player: You’re a great communicator and thrive in a team-focused environment where collaboration and innovation are key to success
  • Ability to think on your feet and make quick, effective decisions
  • Organizational skills that keep you ahead of the game, even when things get busy
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, to track maintenance activities and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Quickly assess equipment issues and implement fixes to keep the production line moving. You’ll work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct proactive maintenance to ensure our equipment is always running at peak performance. You’ll use computerized maintenance systems to keep track of all maintenance activities
  • Fabrication & Installations: Get hands-on by fabricating parts, structures, and equipment to improve production capabilities. You’ll also help install new equipment to ensure we continue growing and innovating
  • Safety First: Maintain the highest standards for safety and food safety regulations, making sure we meet or exceed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
