About The Position

DSG‑Canusa is seeking a high‑impact Plant Manager to lead all operational performance at our Fairfield, Ohio manufacturing facility (~$60M annual output; 100+ employees). This role is accountable for delivering results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development. The ideal leader thrives on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and enabling high‑performing teams. Key Performance Outcomes (What Success Looks Like) 1. Operational Excellence & Throughput Achieve or exceed production, productivity, and efficiency targets. Optimize plant capacity, production flow, and asset utilization. Deliver stable processes using Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, waste elimination, standard work). 2. Safety Leadership Ensure a zero‑injury culture in partnership with the HSE Coordinator. Safely implement new processes, equipment, and production techniques. Maintain full compliance with health, safety, labor, and environmental requirements. 3. Quality & Customer Satisfaction Meet or exceed DSG‑Canusa quality standards and ISO/QMS expectations. Ensure alignment between production schedules and customer demand. Drive accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories. 4. Financial & KPI Performance Own plant budgets and contribute to company planning and forecasting. Track and improve KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory. Drive cost control, waste reduction, and budget discipline. 5. People Leadership & Culture Lead and develop a high‑performing, diverse team (7 managers, 90+ indirect employees). Build a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement. Influence and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and corporate functions.

Requirements

  • University degree (Engineering preferred).
  • 5–7 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership experience in operations, production, or plant management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs, budgets, and cross‑functional relationships.
  • Proven knowledge of Lean manufacturing and QMS systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • 7–10 years progressive leadership experience, including senior management roles.
  • Experience managing large teams and complex operations (>100 employees).

Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant operations and ensure seamless day‑to‑day execution.
  • Develop strategies to achieve plant goals and deliver year‑over‑year improvement.
  • Manage production planning, materials requirements, and inventory accuracy.
  • Resolve supply chain bottlenecks and ensure reliable material flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and improve operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Mattr corporate policies, HSE requirements, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers.
