About The Position

As a Plant Manager, you’ll be part of our Industrial Global Supply Chain team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to: Lead and manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, digital factory, and plant performance measures. Provide plant and team leadership through visioning, goals, expectations, performance management, coaching and communication, employee engagement, employee development, and employee relations. Provide leadership for root cause analysis and effective problem solving, yielding immediate and long-term corrective actions and sustainable enhancements. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (e.g. OSHA), as well as all company policies and standards, including cost control, human resources, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and waste reduction. Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand. Support the development of an accurate annual budget, effectively manage the budget, and provide analysis for forecasting changes. Effectively plan for, budget for, and manage operations headcount needs driving strong labor efficiencies. Identify, justify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects. Balance work cell loading across the plant and leverage strong material flow optimization opportunities. Continually benchmark best practices and drive effective application of the Stanley Black and Decker Production System (SPS), Industry 4.0 and upskilling of our associates. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field/experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related progressive manufacturing operations site leadership experience in a multi shift environment, managing multiple business functions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000.
  • Creating a Safety Culture.
  • Ability to create followership and lead an organization through significant change and improvement.
  • Financial analysis, including understanding and use of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.
  • Highly customer responsive.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma a plus.
  • High volume assembly operations preferred.
