The individual is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, as well as pipe and electrical systems within industrial settings by executing the following tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES encompass the following. Additional duties may be assigned. Conducts visual inspections and tests on machinery and equipment. Listens for any unusual sounds emanating from machines or equipment to identify malfunctions and engages in discussions regarding machine operation discrepancies with supervisors or other maintenance personnel to diagnose issues or repair machinery. Disassembles malfunctioning machines and equipment and installs new or refurbished components. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components. Plans, assembles, installs, and maintains piping systems along with associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs or replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related apparatus. Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment. Utilizes cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal components. Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Oversees preventive maintenance for all equipment within the plant, including the establishment of a Preventive Maintenance program. Diagnoses and replaces faulty electrical devices, such as switches, relays, motors, and electrical and electronic components of machinery. Responsible for ordering parts related to maintenance or notifying the appropriate person to do so. Performs minor repairs on forklifts, front-end loaders, and tractors and trailers.
