The Plant Maintenance Manager performs routine technical, managerial, and complex project management work, directing projects and activities of the physical plant of the facility. Accountable for the effective and efficient management and delivery of maintenance activities. Work involves planning, coordinating, scheduling, and supervising all facility utility services, grounds and buildings, equipment maintenance and repairs, including small construction projects, vehicle operations, and repairs and maintenance, including replacement scheduling. Supervises and manages small construction projects, inspections, renovations, maintenance, and operational maintenance functions supporting the facility. Serves as the primary point of contact relating to construction, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, Life Safety Code and similarly recognized codes and standards. Prepares reports as required. The Plant Maintenance Manager performs a critical interface between contractors, engineers, architects, and State Office staff and various other entities regarding maintenance and construction / renovation projects, energy management projects, and similar initiatives. This position may be required to drive a state-owned vehicle.
