About The Position

Ready to be the person everyone calls when the line goes down? This role at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. (a Novolex company) keeps our Thermoforming and Extrusion operations running on a 12-hour rotating schedule. If solving complex electrical and mechanical problems with poise is your thing, read on. Why this role matters Uptime champion on off-shifts — you can cover both mechanical and electrical without backup. Safety first — you live lock-out/tag-out and follow established procedures without exception. Technical backbone — you make sense of blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to install and repair systems. What you'll do Troubleshoot PLC-driven equipment and perform major repairs on 480V, 3-phase systems. Inspect and test lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits; replace switches, sockets, transformers, fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts. Isolate defects using ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, test lamps, and meggers; complete circuits to spec. Disassemble, repair/replace, and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, and fans; clean, lubricate, and adjust components. Verify work meets OEM requirements and safety codes; inspect completed repairs to ensure quality. Operate necessary equipment, requisition parts, and keep the workspace clean and orderly. Document issues and communicate clearly with production supervisors, maintenance leads, acting supervisors, or maintenance supervisors. Pitch in on other duties that help the operation succeed. What makes you successful 5+ years as an Industrial Electrician. High school diploma or GED (technical school a plus). Comfort with desktop applications and Maintenance Connection CMMS. Precision with measurement devices and test instruments. Organized, accountable, and self-motivated; able to juggle multiple priorities. Strong communicator who collaborates across teams. Independent judgment and best-practice mindset; understands work design. Team player. Preferred: pneumatics knowledge; mechanical/electrical blueprint and schematic reading; welding; shop equipment; fabrication.
