About The Position

The Plant Fulfillment Leader is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, both from suppliers and within departments, in accordance with production schedules. This role involves planning and scheduling material and production needs, and it significantly impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives. The position operates under policy objectives with moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment to achieve desired outcomes. It demands specialized functional knowledge and influences the development of strategy for its area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation. The leader will interpret internal and external business challenges, recommend best practices for improvement, and stay informed of industry trends. High-level judgment is crucial for decision-making and handling complex tasks in operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering domains. The role requires assessing information quality, asking pertinent questions, offering innovative solutions, and making recommendations using diverse internal and external sources. This position may also involve leading functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity, and effectively communicating difficult concepts to influence others' perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing or Materials Planning and Execution experience
  • or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing or Materials Planning and Execution
  • Ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

  • Develops expertise in own function, including new Engine Modernization system (ERP).
  • Communicates using Advanced Material Tracking (AMT) to advise other plants about what is being shipped, and what is needed from outside suppliers.
  • Must have expertise with Excel including formulas, and prior experience using Power Point and Word.
  • Must be able to learn new systems and use data.
  • Prior knowledge of Common Shop Floor, CAS and Impact is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
  • Assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and construct and provide recommendations.
  • Use multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.
  • May guide others to consider a different point of view.
