About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates
and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,500
employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as
the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi,
Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas,
Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Plant Foreman for the Burns and Hickman Co.
Quarries, located in Burns, TN and Bon Aqua, TN. This role assists the Plant
Manager in coordinating production activities in the quarry crushing plant. They
will assist in the coordinating contractors and supervising craft workers within
the pit and plant environment. They are responsible for monitoring work
performance, progress and productivity of the operators and miners. This role
also monitors and manages costs in order to comply with business objectives. The
successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety
excellence, and be able to successfully impart a safety mindset and focus to the
production team.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.  Some management training or experience preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment used in aggregate production operation – both fixed plant and mobile heavy equipment.
• At least 3 years experience in the aggregate materials industry or similar.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operation of equipment/plant to complete production schedules set by Manager in the most cost-effective manner possible.
• Oversee training and corporate safety procedures for operation of plant/equipment to reduce lost time due to injury.
• Oversee repair of fixed plant equipment and crushers to eliminate down time.
• Assist Superintendent or Manager in application of corporate policies and procedures regarding employment, accounting for operating costs, etc.
• Input to operation unit business plan.
• May be called upon at discretion of the Superintendent or Manager to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist other departments if necessary.
