PolyPeptide Laboratories is seeking a Plant / Project Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of critical equipment, utilities, and facility systems. In this role, you’ll manage capital projects, support daily manufacturing operations, and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance in a cGMP-regulated environment.   • Lead and support capital projects, equipment installations, utility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements from concept to completion
  • Ensure engineering activities meet cGMP, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support to Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and manage vendors and contractors
  • Prepare engineering documentation including design specs, drawings, change controls, and commissioning/qualification protocols
  • Assist with equipment lifecycle documentation and maintain accurate plant layout drawings
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, process safety, and energy efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Facilities, Validation, and Production to ensure project readiness
  • Support audits, inspections, and validation activities related to engineering systems
  • Stay current on engineering technologies and industry best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Expertise in biopharmaceutical production equipment (reactors, filtration systems, chromatography, CIP/SIP systems).
  • Deep understanding of FDA, GMP, and safety standards.
  • Experience executing capital projects and working with utilities such as HVAC, purified water, high purity gases, and process systems
  • Advanced experience with CAD, project planning tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project execution and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Master's preferred.
