About The Position

We’re seeking a Plant Engineer to lead engineering design and project execution for capital projects. This role combines hands‑on engineering, project management, and on‑site construction oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality project delivery.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (preferred)
• 5+ years of project engineering experience
• 5+ years in electrical power distribution
• 3+ years in an industrial environment (pulp & paper a plus)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar)
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Detail‑oriented, self‑starter with a commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years in an industrial environment (pulp & paper a plus)
• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop general arrangement, piping, mechanical, and structural design drawings
• Define equipment, electrical, and control system requirements
• Work with vendors to establish design criteria and equipment specifications
• Prepare detailed design packages, scopes of work, and construction bid documents
• Manage requisitions for equipment, materials, and contracts
• Oversee on‑site construction, fabrication, and contractor activities
• Maintain project schedules, cost control, and documentation
• Enforce safety standards and maintain safety records
