Plant Engineer
About The Position
Air Liquide Electronics innovative electronic materials respond to increasingly challenging customer demands for improved mobility, connectivity, computing power and energy consumption. We offer ultra pure carrier gases, a wide range of specialty gases and advanced precursor molecules, enabling equipment for safe distribution, purification and on-line purity control. On site, manufacturers rely on our expertise in providing full management of these gases, advanced molecules and equipment and in helping to continuously improve production processes. The Plant Engineer supports the operations of 5 production units at the TI Blvd gas plant producing nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and hydrogen to ensure safe, reliable, high quality, and efficient supply of product to the customer. Support the operations of 5 production units at the TI Blvd Gas Plant producing nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and hydrogen to ensure safe, reliable, high quality, and efficient supply of product to the customer Support the operations of 3 other sites in the Central Zone with engineering support ranging including MOC creation, small project management, and action item completion. Provide visible HSE leadership to site technicians and actively champion the Life Critical system. Works to achieve “Zero Accidents” Meet or exceed company safety standards including the fundamental safety rules Perform process troubleshooting. Identify and recommend process changes and plant projects to improve plant HSE, reliability and efficiency Own Key Operating Documents. Maintain updated red-lines at all times. Display detailed understanding of content and significance of each document Ensure GT's are understood and followed by the plant staff Ensure operating procedures are followed and updated as needed Partner with the Reliability Center to execute predictive and preventive maintenance to eliminate catastrophic failures and unplanned maintenance Partner with the Reliability Team and TI Blvd Team to execute planned maintenance and unexpected events. Manages, schedules, and executes all aspects of site turnarounds. Set and maintain high housekeeping standards to exemplify and improve the Air Liquide 5S image. Complete assigned action items from audits Approve critical work permits (hot work, confined space, etc.) Manages Costs: Assist in developing plant budget needs Develop cost and economic justification for capital projects Develop and execute capital project scope, cost, and schedule as assigned within time and budget requirements Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs within delegated authorization Participate in the Evergreen Capital Planning Process. This includes supporting a long term capital improvement plan for reliability, growth, safety, environmental, and efficiency. Utilize national purchasing agreements and frame agreements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial production facility in the role of plant engineer or other similar plant operations role; utilities, air gas, chemical, or refinery production experience preferred
- Must be able to wear personal safety equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing
- Ability to climb ladders
