About The Position

As our Plant Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and managing the environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) programs.You will: Identify EH&S risks, develop mitigation plans, and establish systems that meet/exceed regulatory requirements and align with business goalsDevelop and manage EH&S budgets, consultant/contractor specifications, and project cost reportingIncorporate EH&S into operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, and capital planning; provide input on fuel/urea procurement strategiesServe as primary contact for regulatory agencies, negotiate permits, ensure notifications, and manage environmental reporting and record-keepingConduct EH&S audits, site assessments, due diligence for acquisitions, and compliance inspections; report findings to managementDesign and implement supervisor/employee training on safety topics; lead Safety Committee; oversee Workers' Compensation and return-to-work programsDevelop hazardous materials response plans, coordinate with contractors and government agencies, and lead stormwater/toxic use reduction initiativesOversee accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and audit hazard control programsManage IH program, chemical inventories, and facility testing (air, water, waste); maintain OSHA compliance documentationSupervise EH&S staff, contractors, and interns; provide technical safety design expertise for facility improvements and engineering projects

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent hands-on experience
  • In Lieu of a Bachelor's degree a HS Diploma / GED equivalent and a combination of education and professional experience totaling a minimum of ten (10) years
  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically / locally up to 25% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; you will drive a company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Must be familiar with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Must have the ability to work well independently and effectively with others
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and see a work project through to completion
