Requirements

  • Thrives in fast-paced operations; able to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Logical, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proven AC/DC troubleshooting capability (required).
  • Demonstrated skill in electrical controls maintenance and repair.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; solid electrical/mechanical maintenance fundamentals.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical safe work practices.
  • Available for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Background with melting, casting, and rolling equipment (preferred).
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (preferred).
  • MRO familiarity; SAP experience (preferred).
  • NFPA 70E familiarity (preferred).
  • Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience (preferred).
  • Excellent multitasking; able to manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Own safety: follow all PPE and safety standards; actively participate in CMC Safety Programs.
  • Coordinate with ARP Planners to sequence and prioritize maintenance work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AC/DC motor controls, PLC platforms, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems; read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, PLC networks, and cranes.
  • Maintain broad competency across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems.
  • Record all work performed—repairs, materials used, and time—accurately.
  • Execute corrective and preventive maintenance: replace parts, adjust and calibrate, assemble/install, test, and complete PM tasks on manufacturing equipment.
  • Support maintenance and production teams with technical guidance.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas as part of daily housekeeping.
  • Leverage the SAP maintenance module for work execution, documentation, time entry, and corrective action tracking.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as digital voltmeters, paper recorders, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related electronic instruments.
