About the position
The Controller at Travis Meats, Inc. is a senior management role responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial functions within the company. This position requires leadership of the accounting staff and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with tax regulations. The Controller will work closely with the Executive Vice President and external partners, contributing to the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute all accounting and financial functions.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
- Conduct cost accounting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform special analysis and reporting as needed.
- Ensure compliance with tax and reporting regulations.
- Assist outside accountants and act as the primary contact for banking and retirement plan partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial management.
- Experience in manufacturing cost accounting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fully versed in Microsoft Office programs.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA or CMA certification is favorable but not required.
- Self-motivated and self-directed with a readiness for advancement.
