About The Position

This is where your work makes a difference. At Baxter, we believe every person—regardless of who they are or where they are from—deserves a chance to live a healthy life. It was our founding belief in 1931 and continues to be our guiding principle. We are redefining healthcare delivery to make a greater impact today, tomorrow, and beyond. Our Baxter colleagues are united by our Mission to Save and Sustain Lives. Together, our community is driven by a culture of courage, trust, and collaboration. Every individual is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. We strive for efficient and effective operations, and we hold each other accountable for delivering exceptional results. Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride. Your Role: The Plant Controller is responsible for leading all finance and operations accounting activities for Baxter’s North Cove manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key member of the Plant Senior Leadership Team and is accountable for the plant’s financial results. The position provides financial leadership, decision support, and governance to help achieve operational and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies. This is an onsite position working at our North Cove, North Carolina plant location 5 days a week. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role at one of Baxter’s most critical manufacturing sites. North Cove supplies more than half of the U.S. IV market, and the Plant Controller plays a central role in ensuring the financial stability and operational readiness of a facility that millions of patients rely on. Following an unprecedented 2024 flood brought on by Hurricane Helene and the rapid recovery that followed, the site is rebuilding stronger than before—modernizing processes, restoring financial discipline, and strengthening controls. The Controller will be a key voice in this next chapter, partnering closely with the Plant Manager and senior leadership team to drive accountability, improve forecasting accuracy, and ensure decisions are grounded in sound financial judgment. You’ll join a leadership team that values transparency, collaboration, and action. With a cross‑functional leadership team of roughly 15 individuals who rely heavily on strong financial guidance—this role becomes the financial anchor of the site. You’ll help leaders understand their numbers, anticipate risks, and take the right steps to meet monthly and quarterly commitments. This is also a chance to develop and mentor the on‑site finance team, elevate financial acumen across the plant, and influence broader supply chain initiatives. For someone who thrives in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, enjoys being at the table for operational decisions, and wants to make a measurable impact quickly, this role offers both challenge and meaningful reward.
