About The Position

Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Stratas Foods was formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. Bachelors in business with emphasis in accounting will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Power BI.
  • Advanced user of Excel (Power query, pivot tables, filters, look-up formulas) required.
  • Knowledge of Infor M3 ERP system or equivalent, Querying SQL Server or relational database preferred

  • Experience partnering with plant operations, leading month-end close processes, and driving cost control initiatives is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure timely resolution of reconciling items related to inventory valuation and plant expenses.
  • Manage month-end accounting processes, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze financial results against budgets and prior periods.
  • Develop driver-based Budgets for Plant Operations.
  • Oversee GL coding for BOM and items, establish and review standard costs, and analyze cost variances (usage, yield, labor, overhead) to drive corrective actions with plant leadership.
  • Serve as the plant finance lead for inventory accuracy and standard cost integrity, designing and overseeing cycle count procedures while monitoring compliance and addressing discrepancies.
  • Establish a robust control environment around inventory transactions, addressing material movement errors and negative inventory issues
  • Review and approve inventory adjustments within established authority limits, tracking inventory shrink and reporting trends to leaders at the plant and corporate.
  • Oversee bulk oil receipts, prepare inventory variance reports, and assist with the execution and reconciliation of the annual physical inventory.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing client schedules and worksheets as needed.
  • Develop reports for management, create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and participate in projects to support operational efficiency, CAPEX projects and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with plant management and operations teams to drive plant objectives.
  • Other projects as requested by management to support the Finance department.
