PURPOSE: Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions at our manufacturing plant. This role involves managing the plant's financial performance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the plant's operational goals. The Plant Controller will work closely with the Plant Management and other department heads to drive financial efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the plant's annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost reduction initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Procurement: Responsible for monitoring and reviewing Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to ensure procurement activities align with cost targets and budget expectations. Collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to analyze variances and identify cost drivers.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the plant's finance team. Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with plant management and other departments to support operational and strategic initiatives. Participate in cross-functional projects and teams.
