About The Position

Oversee the accounting and finance function for both the Cleveland, TN and Brownsville, TX manufacturing plants. Work with plant management and functional teams at each of the plants to drive performance by preparing and presenting plant financials and KPI report packages, analyzing data and providing meaningful insight to stakeholders, managing capital budgets, and capturing cost savings. Work as a business partner to the Plant Manager. Develop and manage two direct reports, including a cost accounting manager and senior accountant. Lead annual physical inventory, annual budgets, and cost roll process. Adhere to all daily and monthly controls in accordance with SOX. Communicate and report results with corporate FP&A on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting, automated accounting systems and SOX
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees, management, and outside professionals
  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities
  • Excellent computer/systems/PC skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Power Query/Queries & Connections a plus
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • ERP System experience, JDE E1 a plus
  • Oracle EPM experience a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or CPA preferred
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Inventory reconciliation experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support to management teams, which includes managing KPI's and performing cost analysis
  • Facilitate and be responsible for monthly financial close process and preparation financial statements and reports
  • Coordination and preparation of monthly forecasting with local management team and corporate FP&A
  • Preparation and presentation of annual budget and strategic plans and monthly plant performance to executive team
  • Manage standard cost and manufacturing accounting system as well as all plant accounting
  • Manage capital spending & cost savings projects for both facilities
  • Establish, implement, and monitor all internal controls as well as facilitating all external and internal audits
  • Continuously evaluate plant and finance processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage two direct reports
