About the position

The Plant Controller at Baxter's Mountain Home facility serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the plant, overseeing a significant annual budget and a workforce of 225 employees. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance and operational efficiency within the plant's supply chain, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)
  • Develop and execute action plans to drive profitable growth
  • Support and participate in the standardization and modernization of ISC financial processes
  • Actively liaise with process business partners in pursuit of more efficient and effective ways to fulfill responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of all plant-related GAAP, SOX, and Baxter policy requirements
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial performance communication
  • Oversee month-end closing, weekly pulses, quarterly forecasts, and budget preparations
  • Maximize financial performance through analysis, guidance, and accountability
  • Achieve financial results as committed
  • Generate and execute Value Improvement Projects (VIP)
  • Manage capital investments to be on time and on budget
  • Monitor cash flow, operating income, and manufacturing variances
  • Develop financial acumen among finance and non-finance team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance
  • Background in standard costing, budget management, and capital analysis and control
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing change
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
  • Ability to execute a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
  • Strong presence with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships
  • Experience with Lean concepts and tools preferred
