for in our people. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join the Kaiser
Aluminum team in Newark Ohio!

The Accounting Manager reports to the Plant Controller and is responsible for
maintaining the accounting systems. Some of the positions main responsibilities
are to lead daily accounting activities, forecasting and budgeting data inputs,
and prepares the Cost of Sales entries. Additionally, the Accounting Manager
analyzes monthly variances and completes period end financial reporting.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Prefer three (3) years of general ledger accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience
• Strong technical accounting background
• Strong Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUP), Word, and database skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Accurate and timely completion of financial reporting
• Generation of cost data that can be effectively utilized to drive productivity and profitability improvements

Nice To Haves

• CPA/CMA is a plus
• AS400, Crystal Report, Power BI skills helpful

Responsibilities

• Use GAAP and internal accounting standards to ensure the accurate completion of financial statements
• Audit and compliance lead for internal and external audits including financial, SOX, tax, and bank audits
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support for budget and forecast
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Work with Engineering and Production on the development and analysis of cost standards
• Lead physical inventories
• Reconcile book to perpetual accounts
• Continuously improving the efficiency and accuracy of the department
• Business partnering with manufacturing departments
• Interact daily with other professionals, production technicians, and functional department leaders
