LOCATION: Indianapolis Plant – Indianapolis, IN WORKPLACE TYPE: Hybrid As a Plant Accountant you will execute accounting transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP ensuring transactions are accurately and properly stated. Develop, analyze, and report plant performance to management for comparison of actual results to plan and latest estimates. Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes as required. Role reports to Manager, Operations Finance, T&HS US/CAN

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting concepts and theories used in the manufacturing and business environments
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadline requirements
  • Inventory understanding
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization
  • Proven proficiency in the use of MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Demonstrates initiative and possesses strong problem solving abilities
  • Exhibits prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to work within deadlines
  • Works collaboratively with peers and others
  • Embraces changes and is open to new ideas and approaches

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Manufacturing Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting – Participate in the preparation of accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.
  • Forecasting/Budgeting – Work cross-functionally across Texture & Healthful Solutions’ plants (ie intermediate products plant, potato manufacturing plants) and monitor trends to prepare monthly forecasts and periodic budgets over plant specific spending, including depreciation and permit spending.
  • Account Reconciliations – Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed.
  • Audit Activities – Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing. Work with internal and external audit teams providing requested documentation pertaining to related work. Drive cohesive financial strategies while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance.
  • Business Process Procedures – Ensure Business Process Procedures (BPP’s) are written and current for all job functions and that they comply with internal control policies.
  • Analysis – Perform analyses for T&H Plants to proactively identify and communicate yield and production reporting issues.
  • Account Analysis – Perform analyses on T&H various spending accounts to proactively identify and communicate spending issues.
  • Ad-Hoc – Willing and available to work on special projects focused on accounting, financial analysis, financial forecasting, financial reporting and operational efficiency/standardization of processes as required.
  • Develop Relationships – Build and maintain collaborative relationships across all units and functional managers for Indy COE Plants responsible to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant performance.
