About The Position

The Planning Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting production readiness by ensuring materials are available, accurate, and properly documented within the MRP system. This position focuses on reviewing material shortages, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems (training provided).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including functions, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data filters.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to manufacturing, inventory, warehouse, or purchasing environments.
  • Experience with any MRP/ERP system is a plus but not required—training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, review, and prioritize material shortage reports from the MRP system on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Identify critical material constraints and communicate risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Investigate system data discrepancies such as missing purchase orders, inaccurate lead times, inventory inaccuracies, or non-conformances.
  • Update shortage tracking documents and planning tools with accurate, current information.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to gather information, support the resolution of material issues, and support manufacturing schedules.
  • Provide clear, concise updates regarding material availability and risk areas.
  • Maintain shortage tracking documents and databases, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Use Excel to analyze data, create reports, and support planning activities (including filters, formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables).
  • Learn and follow established planning processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing planning tools, reporting methods, and material management practices.
