About The Position

The Maryland Department of Aging helps establish Maryland as an attractive location for all older adults through vibrant communities and supportive services that offer the opportunity to live healthy and meaningful lives. Through action, investment, leadership, and reform, the Department will create a society in which all older Marylanders can lead lives that are healthy, financially secure, socially connected, and purposeful throughout their full lifespan. The Planning Manager position supports the Maryland Department of Aging’s development and implementation of the Longevity Ready Maryland (LRM) multisector plan on aging through policy analysis, stakeholder engagement and management, data analysis and reporting, and other functions. The LRM is Maryland’s 10-year multisector plan on aging and MDOA’s State Plan on Aging under the Older Americans Act. The plan guides policy, programming, and resource allocation to support older adults and healthy aging across the lifespan. The Planning Manager will work collaboratively with team members across the Department, as well as external partners, to ensure continued progress towards the implementation, evaluation, and update of LRM.
