Perform planning functions related to routine, preventative, and predictive, Major Maintenance and CapEx efforts for the power plant by identifying the needs of parts, materials, and services for execution as well as monitoring OpEx and CapEx budgets for plant investments. Responsible for the portfolio of plant projects being delivered to Engineering and the development of these as well as the follow up of execution and administration of activities.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering field or equivalent experience required.
  • More than 4 years of power plant experience, coordinating maintenance activities preferred.
  • Knowledge in the planning and programming process of maintenance activities (Work Management), as well as Project Management and Asset Management.
  • Knowledge in the use of software tools necessary for planning activities, especially SAP PLM tools.
  • Knowledge of methodologies such as preventive, predictive maintenance, RCM (Reliability), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), etc.
  • Knowledge and analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Ability to work independently to give the expected results in terms of planning.
  • Ability to work in a team to make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Analysis of process diagrams, for the application of maintenance plans and activities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and actively with people, for the planning of activities.
  • Understand equipment maintenance manuals, for the application of maintenance plans and the procurement of spare parts.
  • Ability to interpret the information of graphs, report sheets and technical records.
  • Experience preferred in the preparation of reports, presentations for management.
  • Advanced English

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Team Leaders and Leads to plan and prioritize day-to-day maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and plan for long-term maintenance needs.
  • Create and manage maintenance plans for both routine and major maintenance works.
  • Create requisitions for stock items, material and services related to routine, major maintenance and CapEx works.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts in stock to perform maintenance activities.
  • Create and administer preventive maintenance plans and long-term work routines.
  • Administer tools for the portfolio of projects, such as C55 and SAP and ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Monitor and manage capital projects, identifying together with the plant personnel, the needs for the development, planning and execution of these.
  • Participate in CapEx Committee meetings review and support in providing updates of investments.
  • Prepare the purchase requirements related to Opex budget for plant maintenance, in accordance with the specifications of the internal customer and assign them to the corresponding work order for subsequent management.
  • Creation of work orders for capital investments and requirements for services or parts, in accordance with the requirements of the internal client.
  • Estimation of costs of the activities considered in the project portfolio, as well as of the activities in the reconditioning of equipment of high importance in the plant.
  • Control of the budget allocated to capital projects, major or annual maintenance (whether Opex or Capex), to estimate the costs of planning the activities.
  • Generation and administration of reports, record sheets and plans, necessary for planning follow-up.
  • Monitor and review the Maintenance and Planning key performance indicators for the timely attention of deviations and update plant/regional leadership
  • Comply with all policies, rules and procedures established by the business.
  • Fulfill and follow the values and code of conduct, as well as attend the trainings requested by the business.
  • Comply with the safety and environmental procedures established, for their well-being and that of their coworkers, as well as for following up on the safety, environmental and occupational health programs and trainings assigned.
