The Planner will partner with key partners on the Global Merchandising and Business Unit teams to ensure growth targets are achieved. Requirements

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with firm understanding of retail math concepts
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of management
  • Strong initiative, and agility to flex across shifting priorities
  • High degree of accountability and attention to detail
  • Value on teamwork, to ensure strong relationships with a multitude of cross-functional partners
  • 1+ years of experience in Planning and/or Buying; an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Retail experience (financial services or consulting applicable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort working with large amounts of data
  • Experience with MicroStrategy or other BI reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide seasonal, global financial framework for Ready to Wear assortment
  • Drive global direction against key product strategies across markets, leveraging strong business partnerships to maximize sales and productivity while maintaining global message
  • Succinctly summarize global sales plans, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity
  • Partner to provide global product lifecycle guidance
  • Analyze and identify global and regional product trends through weekly and monthly reporting, and apply to short- and long-range product plans
  • Foster effective teamwork and communication with key business partners (i.e. Global Merchandising, Business Unit buying teams, Global Demand and Inventory, Product Development, Supply Operations, etc.)
  • Effectively prioritize and coordinate deadlines with cross-functional partners
  • Become the product expert in Ready to Wear.
