About The Position

Summer 2026 Internship As the Merchandise Planning Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the strategic and analytical side of retail, working to help ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time and at the right price. In this role, you will support the Planning team in analyzing sales, inventory and margin data to optimize product performance and develop thoughtful plans for future product assortments. You will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including Product Strategy & Merchandising, Product Development, and Digital & Brand Marketing to align investment strategies with company goals. You will report to the Planner of Bedding and work directly with all members of the planning team.

Requirements

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
  • Available to work 32 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) starting May 26, 2026 through August 6, 2026.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive, team player attitude
  • Demonstrates an eagerness to learn, grow and engage.
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for retail math.
  • Strong communicator with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Maintains a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • A passion for product and an interest in pursuing a career in corporate retail.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in product performance analysis and reporting by tracking and analyzing product sales data and customer preferences
  • In partnership with the team, review future plans by style for upcoming seasons based on key metrics for potential opportunities or risks.
  • Present recommended plan edits to manager.
  • Support manager in creation of initial quarterly plans for key product categories.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams to ensure timely placement of purchase orders (POs).
  • Learn about the overall mission of the company and its products and understand the brand, customer, and department goals.
