What you’ll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing planning services for a wide variety of transportation projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Assist in preparing basic planning studies and gathering data for capital planning activities. Collaborate with senior planners and project managers on various transportation projects. Participate in community engagement by attending public meetings and collecting stakeholder input. Support the development of reports, presentations, and documentation related to the capital program. What you'll bring to our firm: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A demonstrated interest in transportation planning through prior internships, work experience, or applied academic coursework. Basic understanding of transportation planning principles and practices. Experience using Microsoft Office suite and basic graphics software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What we prefer you bring: Familiarity with transportation modeling software or GIS applications. Prior experience or coursework related to transportation planning or transit-oriented projects. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
