As a key member of the Enabling Tech team, you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes. The Planning Engineer supports the development and delivery of patient-specific orthopedic surgical solutions by preparing and quality-checking pre-operative surgical plans and designing custom surgical guides. This role collaborates closely with engineers, clinicians, and global cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, high-quality surgical analyses. The position also contributes to establishing and scaling Enovis’ surgical planning capabilities, while driving innovation, process improvement, and alignment with the company’s strategic vision in orthopedic care.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or medical science
  • Currently, Enovis does not provide sponsorship for employment visas (e.g., H-1B) and will not offer such sponsorship in the future. Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States, both now and in the future, without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with CT segmentations or orthopedic surgical planning would be a plus
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to work with complex technical data
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Quality assurance and segmentation correction of surgical CT Scans
  • Design custom-made, patient-specific surgical guides
  • Establish our Austin office for pre-operative surgical planning & CT scan processing, collaborating across time zones with peers in Australia and around the world
  • Collaborating with engineers, clinicians, and cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Enovis' strategic vision
