About The Position

The Los Angeles Dodgers currently have a job opportunity for Planning & Development Intern. Following you will find a brief description of the job and application process. For additional information, please contact the Emerging Talent Program at [email protected]. The Planning & Development department oversees all capital improvements to Dodger Stadium. The projects that Planning & Development oversees range in scale from large expansion and infrastructure projects to displays and signage updates around the building. The department is also responsible for overseeing the collection and curation of the team's memorabilia. This program consists of 80% in-department work, 15% cross-functional project experience, and 5% additional programming. Interns collaborate on real business projects in small cross-functional groups while gaining hands-on, department-specific experience under a dedicated manager. The program is 100% in-person/onsite. This is a non-renewable internship and will conclude at the end of the scheduled 12-week program

Requirements

  • Interest in architecture or urban planning or construction is a plus
  • Independent worker
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in fast paced environment
  • Must have a can-do attitude and be team oriented
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other variable hours as needed
  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
  • Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team
  • Proactive and out of the box thinking

Responsibilities

  • Curate new displays throughout the stadium
  • Procure office furniture and artwork
  • Research trends in stadium design
  • Meet with vendors to obtain estimates for new projects
  • Oversee installations with vendors
  • Audit signage throughout the stadium
  • Other duties as assigned
