About The Position

The Corporate Planning & Analysis (CP&A) unit within the Corporate Controllers organization and broader Finance Actuarial Community is seeking a motivated and resourceful individual for the role of Planning & Analysis Specialist. The candidate will be highly integrated into all centralized planning and analysis functions associated with the enterprise projection of GAAP earnings and key metrics, CFO/Controller support for quarterly results reporting and the coordination of management presentations to the Board of Directors. The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What to expect: Support key aspects of reporting and data control associated with the enterprise GAAP quarterly forecast process for both Total PFI and the Business Units Prepare forecast package materials used to communicate results to senior leaders Partner with the Planning & Analysis community to analyze segment financial results, including Business Unit P&A teams, Corporate Tax, Corporate Treasury, and Investor Relations Maintain mechanized financial statement databases using the forecast ledger (FFB) and the emerging FMT systems architecture Leverage Source of Earnings (SOE) reporting and result review packages to identify key business drivers and notable trends in enterprise results Assist with the coordination of earnings release materials used by the CFO and Controller and quarterly management reporting deliverables to the Board of Directors Support key enterprise initiatives, including the preparation and consolidation of the multi-year strategic forecast, historical trends, and other ad hoc deliverables Seek to improve existing capabilities through the implementation and testing of technology-driven solutions such as Anaplan, Power BI, etc. as part of the broader forecast transformation efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related concentration
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills, with an interest to accept new and challenging work assignments
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • High ethical standard and ability to work with confidential information
  • Overtime required during peak reporting periods

Nice To Haves

  • Anaplan a plus
  • Knowledge of Prudential systems is a plus (FDW, PFAP, Anaplan)

Responsibilities
