About The Position

Working with Division staff, community partners, and the Department of Education, this Planner will assist in identifying and developing grants, programs, and services that expand access to arts education and resources aligning with the Division's strategic goals and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and expanded arts education experiences for all. Responsibilities include working statewide to better engage Delaware's arts educators and students in helping the Division make informed decisions on Division policies; research and administer arts education grants and initiatives. This planner will manage grants, promote agency programs and manage the Statewide Poetry Out Loud program among other programs. Planner will manage federal sub-granting and federal reporting. Planner will oversee 504/ADA coordination for accessibility issues and information. Planner will assist with Strategic Planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
  • At least two years experience as a planner OR at least two years experience in a planning function.
  • Experience in designing, collecting data, analyzing and presenting results of a most complex planning project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team).
  • Experience as a project manager/leader on a complex project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team).

Nice To Haves

  • Six months experience in using automated grants management software.
  • Six Months experience in facilitating or managing grant review processes.
  • Six months experience in a performing arts discipline (i.e. music, theater, dance).

Responsibilities
