Planner II
About The Position
Wasatch County Planning Office is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time opening for the position of Planner II ( Grade O, plus a competitive benefit package). Under direction of the Planning Director or immediate supervisor, this position is responsible for performing general planning and land use administrative duties with limited supervision. Depending upon applicant qualifications, this position may underfill as Planner I if necessary. Wasatch County is situated in a rural mountain valley on the back of the Wasatch Mountain range approximately 15 miles south of Park City and less than an hour drive to Salt Lake City and the Provo Orem metropolitan area. The County is surrounded by State and Federal lands and provides abundant recreational opportunities including skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and water sports. Due to the county's proximity to the Wasatch Front, the recreational opportunities, and the beauty of the area, the county is experiencing rapid growth in all types of development from traditional residential subdivisions to mixed use and high-end resort development. Employment with the county is contingent upon successful completion of the pre-employment drug screening.
