The Case Design Analyst will design executive benefits plans using financial analysis of life insurance products and nonqualified executive benefit plan knowledge. This role requires creating and assessing plan designs, preparing client-ready proposals, and providing technical and analytical support to the Consulting and Client Administration teams. The ideal candidate will have experience modeling nonqualified defined benefit and defined contribution benefit plans including 457(f) and Split Dollar, and running illustrations and collaborating with insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in the life insurance or nonqualified executive benefits industry, with proficiency in financial modeling
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn concepts regarding life insurance products, executive benefits plan design, and related financing strategies
  • Experience analyzing financial metrics such as impact on earnings, yields, and internal rates of return
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for creating client-facing materials
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with insurance carrier illustration software a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis of executive benefit plans and life insurance products for prospective and existing clients
  • Prepare proposals for prospective and existing clients, including financial projections and recommendations
  • Use Excel templates and insurance carrier software to create illustrations and financial exhibits projecting retirement income, benefit plan expenses, benefit financing cash flows, and financing strategies
  • Analyze illustrations to make recommendations on plan design, insurance carrier selection, product selection, and configuration to maximize plan design and costs within applicable constraints
  • Provide consultative case design and technical solutions to support the Consulting and Client Administration teams
  • Review in-force policies, generate illustrations, and collaborate with insurance carriers
  • Adhere to existing procedures using plan design templates to create client-ready presentations
  • Support plan design sales efforts by providing analysis and strategic insights to the Consulting team
