About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas using our recipes and maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards at all times. You must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and have a passion for great food.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • ServSafe certified

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook pizzas according to standard recipes and customer preferences
  • Roll and stretch dough by hand or machine
  • Prepare pizza sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
  • Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pizza prep station and kitchen area
  • Operate pizza ovens, dough mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
  • Adapt to special dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc.)
  • Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as needed
  • Ensure that all food prepared is of consistently high quality and that portions are consistently controlled.
  • Food tickets are complete and out in a timely manner.
  • Set up/prep station before service, maintains throughout service, and breaks down station according to kitchen standards daily
  • Maintains neat, professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
